A big thanks to all students, parents, P&C and staff who helped make the disco a success.
Well done to TA 4 for a great assembly! And thank you to The Didge Boys for their send off to Mrs Walsh who we farewelled after 10 years!
Big thanks to the Moorditj Dancers from Wesley College for their visit to Waggrakine PS. The students absolutely loved seeing the dancers and being involved in interactive activities! What a treat.
We had a lovely night at parent night, with a number of events happening at the same time. Our ‘dideridudes’ performing for us, a footy challenge on the oval, a display from the Aboriginal Education Committee, a BBQ and mothers day raffle from the P&C and of course 22 open classrooms. Thanks so much to all the parents who came down to school and shared in some of their children’s learning experiences. Many thanks for the teachers and education assistants who came to support their students and to the P&C for their work again.
This afternoon we had our first ‘Have a Yarn’ Afternoon to invite and meet more members of of our Aboriginal community and friends. Organised by the Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Committee made up of staff and parents. A great afternoon was had by all. Thanks to committee members and their families and everyone for coming along. Thanks to the ‘didgeridudes’ for their performance and to parents who helped out on the day!
