NAIDOC off to a big start

Thanks to those people who came along to the NAIDOC assembly on Monday morning. We had the ‘Didgeridudes’ play us some songs, followed by a rendition of the Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes song, danced and sung by the whole school.

After recess Jennifer and Nadine from Bundiyarra Language Centre came and taught some of the Year 4/5 students the Hokey Pokey in Wajarri. Finally at the end of the day Mr Victor Mourambine and Talisha Riley talked to the Year 5/6 students about how Victor received his citizenship prior to the 1967 Referendum, we also watched a moving story he and Talisha did with ABC about their story.
