NAIDOC week at Waggy

Today Aboriginal Elder Victor Mourambine and staff Grant Dodd, Megan Roberts, Charmaine Ware, Peggy Walsh and Carrissa Belotti all helped welcome in the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Observence Committee week of celebration. School staff rallied together to make enough red, black and yellow cup cakes to make some giant Aboriginal flags and the children got to enjoy them during recess. During the week the students are involved in NADIOC activities to learn more about Aboriginal culture and language and celebrate the journey of Aboriginal people. 2014-06-30
